An erotica of spirit, finding a deeper freedom of feeling & experience is essential if we want to survive as a species. Understanding ‘eros’ as originally imagined by the Ancient Greeks, as well as other ancient civilizations, who happened to leave less of a paper trail. Leaving the isolation, the remove of Cartesian separatism: mind from body, us from our feelings, nature by the wayside, is no longer a viable realty, regardless of gender, race or class. A new era of reclaiming environmental intelligence and engaging in an understanding of living within healthy multiplicities is necessary. Our forbears, used the term ‘eros’ to refer to a fervent desire to aspire to an apotheosis of excellence, as well as to delve, ‘inspire’ into a deeper sense of the possible. Eros in other words is a powerful longing to explore, discover, create, inhabit - both a deeper and higher calling. A way of getting to know ourselves, each other, our world, our worlds, more fully: with love and respect.
